This walk-in GRP electrical enclosure is designed for electrical infrastructure, switchgear installations, distribution systems, metering equipment and industrial control applications requiring full internal access.
Manufactured from high-strength Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), the enclosure provides exceptional structural durability, corrosion resistance and long-term performance in demanding outdoor environments. The walk-in design allows safe and practical access for installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment.
The enclosure is rated IP55 for dust and water protection, ensuring reliable performance in roadside, utility and commercial environments.
Each unit is supplied with a pre-mounted 18 mm water-treated plywood backboard for secure equipment installation. The cabinet is complete with perimeter door seals to enhance protection against dust and water ingress.
Fire-retardant resin is used internally to provide self-extinguishing laminates compliant with BS476 Part 7 Class 2 (Surface Spread of Flame).
The enclosure features a UV-stabilised external gel coat finish for protection against weathering and environmental exposure. The smooth semi-gloss surface provides a clean, professional appearance suitable for infrastructure and industrial installations.
